Four members of the Lakeland University women's basketball team were named to the College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) NCAA Division III Academic All-District Team, as announced Wednesday.
Seniors
Halle Boldt (
Sheboygan, Wis.) and
Jenna Caterino (
Stanton, Mich..), and juniors
A.T. Bartlett (
Farmington Hills, Mich.) and
Alexis Johnson (
Sheboygan, Wis.) all received all-district women's basketball honors. Caterino received the award for the second time while Bartlett, Boldt and Johnson are all first-time recipients of the honor.
The awards are based on combined performances in the classroom and on the court. To be eligible, the nominee must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, hold a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.50 and have competed in at least 90% of their institution's games or started at least 66% of their games.
Caterino carries a double major in criminal justice and psychology and is a four-year member of the team. Bartlett and Johnson are third-year members of the Muskies with Bartlett majoring in sport management & leadership and Johnson majoring in mathematics. Boldt is in her first year with the Muskies after spending three years at Clarke (Iowa) University and is majoring in business administration. All four were starters for a Lakeland team that finished 12-14 overall this season and posted a 9-7 mark in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference.
The 2024-25 Academic All-District Men's and Women's Basketball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes men's and women's basketball honorees in four divisions - NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
