The Lakeland University women's basketball team put a pair of student-athletes on the all-Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference team when
Halle Boldt (
Sr.-Sheboygan, Wis.) and
A.T. Bartlett (
Jr.-Farmington Hills, Mich.) were recognized among the conference's postseason award winners Wednesday.
Boldt was named a second team all-conference selection, while Bartlett received honorable mention recognition. The awards come after a year when Lakeland finished 12-14 overall and came in eighth in the conference with a 9-7 record.
Boldt's first and only season with the Muskies after transferring from NAIA Clarke University in Dubuque, Iowa was a strong one. The Sheboygan native came back home and averaged 11.3 points, 6.4 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game, leading the Muskies in scoring, rebounding, free throws made (85), attempted (110) and free throw percentage (77.3%) and finishing second on the team in steals.
Boldt also finished third in the NACC in free throws made, tied for fifth in steals, seventh in steals/game and 13th in rebounding and free throw percentage. The 5-foot-10 forward/center scored in double figures in 16 of 26 games and tied Bartlett for team honors, with both leading the team in scoring in nine games each.
Bartlett received all-NACC recognition for the second straight season after being named a second team pick last year. The junior averaged 10.8 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.8 steals per game.
Bartlett led the team in assists and three-pointers made (35), finished second in scoring, third in steals and fourth in rebounding. The 5-foot-7 guard started all 26 games, scored in double figures in 16 games and made at least one three-pointer in 19 games.
St. Norbert College junior Taylor Thiry was named NACC Player of the Year, Edgewood College's Vivian Guerrero was named Defensive Player of the Year for the second straight year and Krystyna Manzanarez of Aurora University was voted Freshman of the Year.
