Muskies women’s wrestling program to host camp in June

The Lakeland University women's wrestling program is hosting its three-day High-Intensity Camp at the end of June, and registrations are being accepted at this time.

The camp will take place Friday, June 27 through Sunday, June 29 in the Wehr Center and is open to females entering grades 9-12 this fall. Overnight camper and commuter options are available.

The camp will be led by Lakeland Head Women's Wrestling Coach Shannyn Gillespie, and will teach students advanced concepts within all facets of wrestling. It will include elite level technical sessions and live, combat situations.

Check-in is Friday from 1-2 p.m., with check-out on Sunday from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. In between there will be five sessions all between 2 1/2 and 3 hours in length, plus an activity session Saturday night.

Cost for the camp is $300 for overnight campers, or $225 for commuters. Overnight campers will stay in Muehlmeier Hall on Lakeland's campus.
