KENOSHA, Wis. –
Elise Brill (
Fr.-Cedar Grove, Wis.) came in eighth in the women's mile to lead the Lakeland University men's and women's track & field teams at the Firebird First Invitational hosted by Carthage College Saturday.
Brill finished the mile in 6 minutes, 18.55 seconds, coming in just over a second out of seventh-place in the event. She scored the lone point in the team standings for the Muskies, who brought small contingents on the men's and women's sides for their second meet of the season and first in 2026.
Kaitlyn Feldmann (
Fr.-Elkhart Lake, Wis.) also came in ninth in the women's high jump with a best of 1.40 meters (4 feet, 7 inches).
Nailah Jones (
Fr.-Milwaukee, Wis.) also was 23rd in the women's 200 with a time of 34.58 seconds.
Morgan Caho (
So.-Canton, Ill.) led the Lakeland men's team, coming in 10th in the 400 meters with a time of 56.66 seconds.
Konnor Korb (
So.-Sheboygan, Wis.) also was 29th in the 200, finishing in 29.15 seconds.
Lakeland next will compete in the Lake Michigan Open hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Parkside Jan. 31 in Somers, Wis.
