SOMERS, Wis. – Morgan Caho (So.-Canton, Ill.) and Preston Dos Santos (So.-Random Lake, Wis.) both notched top-10 finishes for the Lakeland University men's and women's indoor track & field teams at the Lake Michigan Open hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Parkside Saturday.

Caho came in sixth in the men's long jump, clearing a best of 5 feet, 8 3/4 inches (1.75 meters). He scored six of the Lakeland men's team's seven points in the team standings, while Dos Santos tallied the other by taking 10th in the long jump with a best of 19-9 (6.02m).

Caho also came inside the top 15 in the 200- and 400-meter races. He took 13th in the 400 with a time of 56.02 seconds, and placed 14th in the 200, finishing in 24.23.

Dunia Wangu (So.-Tanzania) also placed right behind Caho in the 200 in 15th with a finish of 24.28. The Muskies' other finishers included Patrick Reilly (Fr.-Brookfield, Wis.), who finished the 800 with a time of 2:24.05 to place 29th.

Elise Brill (Fr.-Cedar Grove, Wis.) posted the best finishes for the Lakeland women's team, including a finish of 12th in the 800 with a clocking of 2:43.64. Brill also was 13th in the mile, finishing in 6:12.73 to score the lone five points for the Muskies women's squad.

Emily Guy (Jr.-Glendale Heights, Ill.) also was 13th in the 55-meter hurdles (11.79). Nailah Jones (Fr.-Milwaukee, Wis.) placed 18th in the 55-meter dash (8.76).

Lakeland next will compete in the Lake Michigan Open hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Parkside Jan. 31 in Somers, Wis.
