A group of six seniors will be honored before the game when the Lakeland University women's basketball team hosts Concordia University Chicago for its final regular season home game tonight and the first of two home games this week for the Muskies at the Moose & Dona Woltzen Gymnasium.

Series history: 23rd meeting, Lakeland leads 13-9
Nearly all of the history between the Muskies and Cougars dates back to the two joining the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference in 2006, with the only previous meeting coming Nov. 17, 2001, with Lakeland rolling to a 90-46 win at home. The Muskies won the most recent meeting 12 days ago with a 61-46 victory on the road in River Forest, Ill., as
Alexa Yost scored 13 points and the Cougars were held to 27.0% shooting. Concordia's last win over Lakeland was a 66-58 win at home Jan. 16, 2020. The Muskies also won the last time the teams played here at the Moose & Dona Woltzen Gymnasium, posting a 90-62 win Jan. 10, 2019 as

Lakeland last time out: Won at Benedictine 69-65 Saturday
The Muskies rebounded in a big way from a lopsided loss less than 24 hours earlier at Aurora, leading almost the whole way on the road to topple a team that entered the day tied for second in the NACC.
Ellie Felsinger scored a career-high 17 points, added 10 rebounds for her second career double-double, and scored the basket with 4:33 left in the game that put Lakeland ahead for good. With the score 67-65 with three seconds left, she also made two free throws to put the game away.
Kacey Gardner also came near a triple-double with 15 points, eight rebounds and eight assists and
Alexa Yost added 11 points. The Muskies shot a season-best 46.7% and clinched the No. 8 seed and a first round game in the NACC Tournament this Saturday against an opponent to be determined.
Concordia last time out: Lost to St. Norbert 54-38 Saturday
The Cougars got off to a good start before hitting a long dry spell in the second quarter against one of the NACC's top teams. CUC led 16-8 after one quarter but then went scoreless for the final 9:44 of the first half, with the Green Knights scoring 17 straight points to take a 25-16 halftime lead. St. Norbert slowly pulled away in the second half with the Cougars unable to mount a significant rally while shooting just 25.5% for the game. Jaylene Wade scored nine points and Alisyn MacGregor added eight points and 13 rebounds for the Cougars, who lost their 10th straight game and continued to struggle after a 6-5 start to the season.
Senior Night: Tonight is the final regular season home game for six Lakeland seniors.

Morgan Zenon all will be recognized before the game, and all four are four-year members of the team who have been a part of teams posting a 49-37 record in their career, including a 20-win season as freshmen and a coronavirus-shortened season last year. All six will be escorted by their parents tonight in a ceremony before the game.
