RIPON, Wis. – Noah Lutzke (So.-Orfordville, Wis.) set his second school record in two meets and Travis Eitel (So.-Pine Island, Minn.) also set a school mark as the Lakeland University men's and women's track & field teams competed at the Ripon College Red Hawk Invite Saturday.

Lutzke set a new school best in the men's 5,000 meters, finishing sixth with a time of 16 minutes, 22.73 seconds. He topped the former record held by Kassahun Lehman by 21 seconds and bested one of Lehman's records for the second straight meet after setting a new school indoor mark in the mile two weeks earlier.

Eitel finished 15th in the 60-meter hurdles, clipping a hurdle but still setting a new school record with his time of 10.61. Eitel also competed in the 800 meters, finishing in 2:12.62 to place 22nd.

The Muskies also set a number of personal records on the day, including by Kayla Bruton (Sr.-Milwaukee, Wis.) in the women's 400. She finished in 1:03.19 to place sixth, topping her previous best by two seconds.

Sahara Gardner (So.-Kewaunee, Wis.) set personal bests in both the women's 60-meter dash and the 200, crossing the line in 8.98 in the 60 meters and finishing the 200 in 30.48. Emily Petersen (Sr.-Menominee, Mich.) also set personal records in a pair of events, in the 800 in 3:05.77 and the mile in 7:05.21.

Owen Luedtke (Fr.-Sheboygan Falls, Wis.) also added two PRs, finishing the men's 800 in 2:44.78 and the mile in 6:17.57. The Muskies also added a top-15 finish when Jaylen Rido (Sr.-Houston, Texas) came in 15th in the men's 200 with a time of 24.10.

Lakeland will return to Ripon again next week for the Dick Hendricks Invite.
