The Lakeland University men's wrestling team competes for the first time in three weeks when it heads to the Battle for the Helmet hosted by North Iowa Area Community College Saturday in Mason City, Iowa.

The Muskies will compete in the tourney in north central Iowa for the second straight years and will be one of nine teams competing at the event this year. Others participating include the host school NIACC plus Bryant & Stratton College, Ellsworth (Iowa) CC, Harper (Ill.) College, Hawkeye (Iowa) CC, Iowa Western CC, Southeast (Neb.) CC and St. Ambrose (Iowa) University.

125 lbs.: Andrew Cain
141: Lucas Schanen
149: Jesse Burg  8-3 overall record this season, with 2 of the losses coming from NCAA Div. 2 opponents, and the other loss coming as an injury default while he was winning the match.  
149: Wyatt Raab  8-4 record this season, with a team leading six pins so far.
157: Dillon Raab  Started the season a little slow, going 0-2 in his return from a season ending injury last year. However, he went 3-1 at the Triton Invitational right before the break to finish the first half on a positive note and is definitely starting to find his stride!
157: Will Ohman
165: Evan Haferkorn  Second on the team in wins (7) and pins (5) so far this season.  Strong tournament performances in the first half of the season going 3-1 at the Muskie Scramble and the Triton Invite.
174: David Aragon
184: Jax Lipnitz   Freshman is tied for the team lead in wins (8) with Burg and Wyatt Raab. 
Heavyweight: Diego Morales   Showed a lot of growth and improvement throughout the first half of the season. Tied for second on the team in wins (7) so far, after winning a total of 10 matches entirely last year.
