Amanda Smith was one of the most dominant players in school history as she gradated as Lakeland's career leader in goals and points. Smith was a three-time first-team all-conference honoree and two-time conference player of the year (2004, 2005). In her historic senior season, Smith led the nation in points and goals per game and won conference player of the year honors for the second straight season. She is listed in the NCAA record book in several categories. Smith helped the Muskies win back-to-back conference championships (2002, 2003) and reach their first NCAA tournament berth.Â
