Cory Nickel was a four-year basketball standout who graduated as ninth all-time in scoring (1,498 points), fourth all-time in steals (191), and sixth all-time in both assists (366) and threes made (136). Nickel was the conference Rookie of the Year as a freshman and a three-time first-team all-conference selection, culminating in winning conference Player of the Year his senior season (2003-04). Nickel's senior season squad also earned an NCAA tournament berth during the 2003-04 season.
