Hall of Fame
Hanaka Murakami, the 2003 Lake Michigan Conference Player of the Year, was one of the most dominant tennis players in program history. A transfer from Lakeland’s Tokyo, Japan, campus, Murakami led the Muskies to a second-place conference finish in 2003 and finished 11-0 in singles, 9-1 in doubles in her two seasons. Murakami lost only 16 games in 22 singles sets in 2003 and no opponent won more than three games.
