A letter winner in football and baseball, Kevin co-captained the football team in 1982, 1983 and 1984. He started 27 straight games at guard or center. In baseball, he received all-conference honors as a catcher, and all-state in 1984 and 1985. He was co-captain and team MVP of the conference champions in 1985.
