Renee (Steinert) Bowerman is among the most accomplished post players in Lakeland women's basketball history. In just three seasons, Bowerman amassed the second-most blocks (132) and seventh-most points (1,145) and rebounds (602) in school history. In addition to her career records, Bowerman is among Lakeland's season leaders in rebounds and blocks. Bowerman was a three-time first-team all-LMC honoree and during her senior season in 2004-05, she was conference Player of the Year, a third-team all-D3hoops.com all-central region selection, and led the Muskies to regular-season and conference tournament championships and the fourth NCAA Division III tournament appearance in school history. Bowerman finished in the top five in the Lake Michigan Conference in scoring, rebounds, field goal percentage, and blocks in her junior and senior seasons.
